What can I expect during my first therapy session?During your first therapy session, you can expect to discuss your background and the issues you wish to address. This is an opportunity for the therapist to understand your unique situation and for you to ask any questions about the therapy process. The session is typically conversational and aims to create a safe and comfortable environment for open dialogue. How long does therapy take to show results? The duration of therapy before noticeable results can vary significantly among individuals. Some may experience improvements within a few weeks, while others may require several months of consistent sessions. Factors influencing progress include the nature of the issues being addressed and the individual's commitment to the therapeutic process. Regular evaluations with your therapist can help track your progress and adjust the approach as needed. Is therapy confidential?Yes, therapy is confidential. The information shared during sessions is protected by privacy laws and ethical guidelines. There are, however, certain exceptions where confidentiality may be breached, such as in cases of imminent harm to oneself or others.
